Challenge
B&H Well Drilling wanted clarity on how their Google Ads campaigns stacked up against competitors. Despite steady traffic, their impression share report showed strong competition — and the client needed help understanding where they stood and how to respond.
Approach
While analyzing their Google Ads report, I looked beyond surface-level clicks and conversions to dig into impression share data. In doing so, I noticed something critical: a competitor had been actively targeting B&H’s own brand name in search campaigns.
I flagged this to the client, explaining not only how it affected their ad visibility but also what it signaled about the competitive landscape.
Results
That insight became a turning point. B&H realized that if competitors were willing to target their name directly, it was time to invest more in defending and growing their presence. This led them to expand their strategy into Facebook advertising, incorporating high-quality video production, drone footage, and creative ad assets.
While I didn’t produce those ads myself, my analysis and communication sparked the decision that moved their marketing forward. The client left the conversation with both clarity and a sense of urgency to protect and strengthen their brand.
Takeaway
This case study highlights my ability to spot hidden insights in campaign data and translate them into actionable strategies — not just for immediate ads, but for shaping a client’s long-term marketing direction.
